We supported KwaDukuza Municipality and GIZ to facilitate an Urban Lab on CBD regeneration and Open Streets festival for World Environment Day, including designing pop-up infrastructure, visual content, strategic advice and more.
We provided technical assistance to the municipality to develop and implement an Urban Lab, which included an Open Streets day. We conceptualised and built an ‘ideas box’ to be used to get public inputs into the municipality’s CBD regeneration plans, and worked on communications and content for the project.
The Urban Lab gave the community of KwaDukuza and the municipality an opportunity to experience its streets differently and come together to speak about ideas, concerns, and dreams for the future.
